What we do

We rehabilitate and house people recovering from mental and associated illness

How we do it

For each client, we create bespoke programmes that are based upon their unique and individual needs. Our supported housing service provides the best possible environment to apply our trusted methodologies and counselling techniques.

We’ve found this approach enables us to significantly improve each client’s quality of life and gives them the best opportunity to avoid social exclusion and reintegrate into society with a high level of independence. Whenever possible, we will also help them find study and employment.

Our long-term operation in the field and our extensive network of experts enable us to monitor the field and offer more effective rehabilitation results through continuous service development.

Types of care

Short-term evaluation

Short-term evaluation period is meant for clients who will benefit from short-term housing services or who need their mental health and abilities evaluated. Short-term evaluation period can be used to evaluate the best long-term service level for a client or as an interval support service if the client’s health has temporarily deteriorated or if they are being discharged from institutional care. The duration of short-term evaluation period is always determined with a representative from the client’s municipality of residence and the client him/herself. Usually, the duration of evaluation period is no more than six months.

Assisted living

By assisted living, we mean living in a group home with daily daytime support of our staff. The support includes the guidance and support in rehabilitation that has been specifically designed for the client’s needs, care and support, as well as rehabilitating services for maintaining and improving the client’s ability to function. Assisted living is usually temporary and its goal is to rehabilitate the client to be able to cope with less support.

Supported living

The support level offered is always unique and it is based on the client’s health and abilities. The amount of support needed is assessed in the beginning and at regular intervals as the client’s rehabilitation progresses. Supported living can be offered either in shared housing, studios or in the client’s own home in Helsinki and Vantaa region. When necessary, the flats are furnished, but the client can also bring their own furniture. Supported living is mainly temporary.

Daytime activities

We believe that in order to rehabilitate, a person needs meaningful things to do during the day, that is, daytime activity, rehabilitating work or some other form of activity. We offer daytime activities that have been planned for the individual’s needs based on their abilities and providing support for their rehabilitation. The goal of daytime activities is to offer the client rehabilitating, meaningful and sensible activities in order to stimulate and enable him/her to take responsibility for his/her own life and start reintegrating back into the society.

Become a client

We always begin by evaluating each client’s individual needs and suitability to our services. We base our assessments on medical history and interview. We’ve found that this method allows us to match the right services with each customer to give them the best care.
